Welcome to Aeon! As a Creator, you have the power to build specialized native Skills that plug directly into Aeon's shared brain.
Aeon is one unified personal super-agent for everyday life. When you build a skill, you aren't building a disconnected chatbot — you are teaching Aeon a new super-power that millions of users can activate in their daily routines.
1. What is an Aeon Skill?
An Aeon Skill is a modular capability tailored to real-world tasks, local intelligence, or everyday goals:
Local Exam & School Prep: e.g., JAMB/WAEC practice tutors, university syllabus guides.
Everyday Financial Tools: e.g., domestic tax calculators, savings goal roadmaps, currency arbitrage alerts.
Local Logistics & Community: e.g., neighborhood transit schedules, church & parish event organizers, market vendor directories.
Health & Lifestyle: e.g., tailored grocery meal planners, workout routines, medicine schedule reminders.
Every skill consists of three core components:
1.Identity & Metadata: Name, description, icon, and tags displayed in the Aeon Skill Store.
2.Skill Prompt (The Instructions): Detailed reasoning rules, step-by-step guidance, and domain knowledge Aeon follows when this skill is invoked.
3.Execution Tools: The APIs, scrapers, and external connectors the skill uses to fetch live data and take real actions.
2. Step-by-Step: Creating Your Skill
To get started, navigate to Skills in your Aeon workspace and click Create Skill.
Step A: Define the Skill Identity
Give your skill a clear, descriptive name (e.g. *"Lagos Traffic & Transit Navigator"* or *"JAMB Physics Coach"*) and write a short summary explaining how it helps people in everyday life.
Step B: Write the Skill Prompt
The prompt instructs Aeon on how to think and guide the user in this domain:
Be Warm and Direct: Avoid robotic filler. Speak like a knowledgeable local partner.
Decompose Tasks: Break complex challenges into clear milestones.
Define Boundaries: Specify what information requires user verification before acting.
Step C: Connect Tools
Give your skill hands to interact with the real world:
Web Research & Fetching: Query live schedules, prices, or educational materials.
Personal Integrations: Interact with calendars, WhatsApp drafts, and email notifications with user permission.
